We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic full-time School Caretaker/ Handyperson who would thrive in a busy environment. In this role you will join the facilities team who deliver an integrated janitorial, cleaning and caretaking service to the school. This role is a full-time role.
Description of the job: The role will include general repairs, maintenance and minor works on the school premises including:
- Painting & decorating
- Minor plumbing (fixing toilet seats, attending to leaks
- Basic carpentry (installing shelves, assembling furniture, minor adaptions etc
- Upkeep of the schools’ grounds
- Providing cleaning support to the household team
- Locking the school at the end of the day
- Sundry other tasks under the direction of the proprietor
Qualifications: The following are required:
- Enhanced DBS check
- Full driving licence – preferred
- Experience of basic repairs and maintenance or similar work
No formal qualifications are required. Greater importance is attached to an applicant’s ability to perform assigned duties efficiently and with courtesy towards co-workers.
